Christ Church National Trust Heritage Appeal
BULLETIN 2
- Amount Raised.
To 30th June, $97,798.60 has been contributed. With funds from the
Barbara Newhouse bequest added and the Heritage account, the combined
total is $473,028.34. Now that preliminary costing for the entire
project has been completed the appeal target is now $1.5m to complete
the conservation and restoration of the Church, Parish Hall and Rectory.
- Mail-outs.
The new brochure has posted to all people on the current parish roll
and to those who were married at Christ Church between the years 1966-1972.
The process of finding addresses is a rewarding research task but
it is time consuming and help is urgently needed. Please volunteer
if you have a few hours to spare.
- Fund Raising
Events.
An event is in the early planning stage. More later! Grants. Because
annual submission dates for grants occur towards the end of the year,
the Committee has delayed action. Options are now being explored with
a view to making several applications. We are lucky to be able to
draw on the knowledge and expertise of Richard Offen.
- Appeal Advocates.
Shortly a group of parishioners will approach individuals outside
the parish to request their financial support. We urgently need the
names and addresses of people who might make a significant contribution
to our Heritage Appeal either personally, or on behalf of a business/corporation.
- Input Needed.
The Committee is seeking suggestions and refreshing fund-raising ideas.
Please talk to one of the Committee members or contact one of the
Coordinators:
