   Children's Ministry

Christ Church Claremont welcomes
children of all ages to worship and fellowship

A new children/family initiative!

On the third Saturday evening in each month we will have an informal celebration of the Eucharist at 5.30 pm followed by a simple meal.
We hope that parents and children will use this extra opportunity for worship and fellowship when sporting or other commitments make Sunday worship difficult.

The Parish offers a ministry to children that aims to provide an experientially based programme of nurture in the Christian faith. We provide:

Intergenerational worship on the first Sunday in the month where children are encouraged to be involved in worship through reading, praying, drama and music
An activity orientated programme for children is part of our Sunday 10.00 am worship.
All baptised children are welcome to receive Holy Communion
Special one off events in the Church's year lend themselves to the leadership and involvement of children such as:
    Palm Sunday Procession
    Easter Vigil
Pentecost [Celebrating the gift of the Holy Spirit]
Earth Mass [Blessing of the Animals]
    Christmas Eve - Children's Worship & Eucharist
For pre-school children there is a special area in the church with soft toys for them to play and someone to help and guide parents as needed. [10.00 am worship]
Chi-Ro [Christ] Club for children in years 6 to 8 meets once a month on Saturday evening for fun, food and fellowship.

For more information on any of these activities please contact Fr Greg at the Parish Office and you can be added to the Christ Church Kids on the Net list and you will be sent details of our children's ministry activities throughout the year. .
